Quality Heart Care, Close to Home

At Spring View Hospital, we believe that leading the way to better healthcare extends into the area of rehabilitation. In order to meet that goal, our hospital has established a unit dedicated to the purpose of cardiac rehabilitation.

This area allows patients who suffer from cardiac illness or who are recovering from cardiac surgery to return to their lives as normally as possible.

The Cardiac Rehabilitation Department at Spring View Hospital focuses on exercise to help build strength and stamina and also educates patient on lifestyle changes that can improve their quality of living.

Phase II Cardiac Rehabilitation at Spring View Hospital

Phase II cardiac rehabilitation is a medically monitored exercise program designed for those who have had a recent heart illness or surgery. This program mixes regular physical exercise with risk factor modification in order to help with recovery and strengthening of your body. Specially trained cardiopulmonary staff monitor the participant's heart rhythm, heart rate, and blood pressure during exercise therapy. In addition to exercise, participants are provided with individualized education sessions aimed at heart disease risk factor modification. The focus of the program is on preventing complications related to heart disease.

How Can I become Part of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Program?

At Spring View Hospital, we hold Cardiac Rehab classes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. As a participant, it is recommended that you attend three days a week for maximum improvement of your cardiac status. Classes are held between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Each class is one hour long. You will be assigned a class time based on availability and your schedule. If insurance permits, you could be eligible for 36 rehab visits. Some insurance companies will authorize less than this.
