Spring view Hospital of Lebanon and Marion County is a 75-bed, acute-care community hospital that offers a full rage of specialties and services, including Emergency Services, Cardiopulmonary Services, Laboratory Service, Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging Services, Rehabilitation Services, Women's Center Services and Occupational Health Services.

A family oriented community; Lebanon is located 68 miles Southeast of Louisville, KY and 65 miles Southwest of Lexington, KY.

The Lebanon has a population of 6,000 and Marion County has a population of 20,000, with an unemployment rate of 6.4 % (2008 data).  Manufacturing, education and healthcare are the top three industries with manufacturing representing 42% of jobs in the county. The community has enjoyed a modest 15% growth rate over the last 10 years and has seen per capita income increased by 26% in that same time.  Housing is very affordable with homes in golf communities ranging from 3500-4000 square feet selling for approximately $250,000-$275,000. The total service area for health care services at the hospital is 50,000.

Community

Lebanon is the county seat for Marion County.  It recent years, Lebanon has established itself as a center of trade, commerce, and industry in central Kentucky.  In the last 17 years we have add 22 industries and 4,000 jobs.  The Downtown Lebanon Historic District, listed on the National Historic Register, features antique shops and an arts and crafts cooperative featuring the works of local and other Kentucky artisans.  Marion County Country Ham Days ranks as one of the most successful and largest community festivals in Kentucky.  The Maker's Mark Distillery is located in nearby Loretto, and Centre College in Danville is nationally recognized for its academic achievement.

Education

We are very proud to be one of the TOP 25 school systems in Kentucky.  Marion County ranks as one of the top two best counties in preparing their students for college, with only 0-19% of student scoring less than 18 on one or more of the ACT exams in Mathematics, English, and Reading (or the equivalent on the SAT or on campus placement exams). (Data from the post secondary education data portal http//:cpe.ky.gov/info).  Therefore, preparing their students to attend one of the 18 colleges and universities that are within 70 miles of Lebanon. The Marion County School District is composed of seven schools. Total enrollment for the fall of 2005 was 3066 students. Marion County also has one non-public school, St. Augustine, with 231 elementary students.

Recreation

Kentucky's Bluegrass Region is famous for its natural beauty, and Marion County is no exception.  The beautiful Green River Lake is only 25 minutes from Lebanon.  Green River is a haven for the water sport and fishing enthusiast as well as the vacationer that just wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. This 8,200-acre lake offers over 33 miles of picture perfect water lying between 250 miles of shoreline. It is just perfect for fishing, skiing and riding your personal watercraft or just relaxing in one of the many houseboats, small craft, floating cabins, and condominiums available. Just minutes from the hospital is Fagan Branch Reservoir and it features the 3.2 - mile Cecil L. Gorely Naturalist Walking Trail, a great environment for hiking, bird watching, nature studies, and fishing.  Marion county is also proud to have the 34-acre Graham Memorial Park which has outdoor tennis courts, a fitness trail, picnic pavilion, gazebo, playground and an aquatic center offering year round activities.
