Bethany’s Story: Welcoming New Life at Spring View Hospital
December 06, 2024For Bethany, the decision to deliver her children at Spring View Hospital was deeply personal and carefully considered. As the Market Director for Spring View Medical Group Practices, she was already familiar with the hospital's reputation. "Back in 2016, when I was pregnant with our first baby, I had always been told the Women’s Center care was top-notch and had the best nursing staff," Bethany shared. "Combined with the convenient location close to home, it was the perfect choice for our family."
Bethany and her husband welcomed all three of their children at Spring View Hospital, each time experiencing exceptional care tailored to their birth plans. For their most recent delivery, Bethany had specific hopes: a natural childbirth without pain medication or an epidural, her husband cutting the umbilical cord, and the baby staying with them in the room throughout their stay. "We even requested to give our baby her first bath at home with our other two children, and the nurses accommodated that. Their willingness to support our wishes meant so much," she said.
On June 8, 2024, the couple arrived at the hospital to deliver their youngest daughter. From the moment they stepped through the doors, Bethany felt supported by the entire team. "The staff went above and beyond for us," she said. "Mary Green, our certified nurse midwife, was an incredible coach. Kristin Campbell stayed by my side the entire time, coaching me on breathing techniques and keeping me motivated. They knew I wanted an unmedicated delivery and ensured that’s what I received."
Bethany described the experience as exceeding all her expectations. "Everything was so patient-centered. Everyone was positive, easy to engage with, and responsive to my needs. From admission to discharge, the care was exceptional."
Her prenatal care was equally memorable, with the Women’s and Children’s Clinic team ensuring she felt informed and prepared throughout her appointments. "During my hospital stay, the Women’s Center staff were amazing," Bethany added. "It wasn’t just about medical care; they made me feel comfortable, empowered, and truly cared for."
Reflecting on how motherhood has transformed her life, Bethany shared, "Becoming a parent gives you a new perspective. You appreciate things more and learn the true meaning of unconditional love. Being a mom is the greatest joy I’ve ever experienced and the biggest blessing in our lives."
Bethany’s message to others considering where to deliver their child is clear: "Make sure you feel empowered, supported, and cared for. I promise, Spring View Hospital Women’s Center is all that and so much more. I’m forever grateful for the amazing memories we have from welcoming our children into the world here."
Her story is a testament to the compassionate, patient-centered care at Spring View Hospital—a place where families are not only cared for but celebrated during life’s most precious moments.
